Moths
Small nocturnal butterflies with a big appetite for your wardrobe!
Physical characteristics
Moths are small nocturnal butterflies with a wingspan between 1 and 4 cm. Their color varies from gray to brown, often with patterns on the wings. They have feathery antennae and body.
Biology and behavior
They are primarily active at night. Adult moths do not feed, but their larvae consume various materials, including fabrics, grains, and dried fruits. Females lay eggs on or near suitable food for the larvae.
Harm
Moth larvae can cause significant damage to clothes, carpets, upholstery, and food products. They leave holes in fabrics and contaminate food. Besides material damage, some moth species can cause allergic reactions.
What you can do
Regularly air out and clean your wardrobe. Store clothes clean and in airtight bags or containers. Use moth repellents like lavender or cedarwood. Freeze small items for 24 hours to destroy eggs and larvae.
Professional control
Our specialists use a combination of methods for moth control. We apply targeted insecticides in affected areas, use pheromone traps for monitoring and control, and offer a comprehensive prevention strategy. We also identify and eliminate sources of infestation to prevent recurrence.
